Following the Isolation tour the guitarist Steve Lukather and drummer Jeff Porcaro decided to include a second keyboardist and vocalist to the group. They sat down with a variety of musicians including Fergie Frederiksen before settling on Joseph Williams.
In the year 2018, Toto released a new album called Old Is New and embarked on a world tour in order to promote it. Lenny Castro and Shannon Forrest joined them on tour along with Warren Ham and Shem Von Schroeck.
